Two died, another trapped as landslide buries them during sand excavation in Anantnag

Srinagar, Aug 14: Two persons died after a landslide struck them near Gadhanjipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, officials said Wednesday. They said another person is still trapped under the debris.

Quoting officials, news agency KNC reported that two persons died while another is believed to be injured and still trapped under the debris of a landslide that struck them during the sand excavation at Gadhanjipora of Bijbehara.

The officials said that the rescue teams are on the spot and have retrieved two bodies, while search for the third on is on.
