Shopian, May 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces have arrested two terrorist associates in the DK Pora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said today.
An official said a joint operation was launched by Army’s 34RR, Shopian Police and CRPF 178 Battalion.
He said two persons were held at a naka in the DK Pora area under the jurisdiction of Imam Sahib police station.
Two pistols, two magazines, dozens of rounds, two grenades and other incriminating materials were recovered from them, said the official.
Those arrested were identified as Zahid Ahmad Sheikh of DK Pora and Anwar Khan of Kathwa.
The official said that FIR No 25/2025, under sections13,18, 20, 39, 7/27 IA Act has been registered at police station Imam Sahab.
