Jammu, July 07: A soldier was injured in a firing incident in Rajouri district, official sources said on Sunday.
They said the incident took place near army camp in Manjakot area of the district during wee hours.
Initial reports, they said, also suggest that it was militant attack on the army camp which was prevented by alert sentry who retaliated, forcing the militants to run away.
They said a soldier was injured in the attack and subsequently shifted to hospital.
However, there was no official word so far about the incident.
The army and Police have launched a manhunt to trace the attackers who are believed to have escaped via thick forest area in the area.
