Rains lash J&K; MeT predicts more precipitation

Srinagar, April 19: Parts of Jammu and Kashmir experienced fresh rainfall on Thursday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting more precipitation in the coming days.

Despite the cloud cover, the night temperature has risen, but daytime temperatures are expected to drop.

On April 19th, the region is expected to experience generally cloudy conditions. There’s a likelihood of rain and snow in higher reaches, accompanied by thunder and gusty winds.

“Farmers are advised to suspend farm operations on April 19th due to the expected adverse weather conditions,” stated the MeT.

Additionally, there may be temporary disruptions to surface transportation over higher reaches on this day, along with potential waterlogging in low-lying areas.

From April 20th to 25th, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry, with localized activity possible at a few places.

However, another spell of rain is forecasted for April 26th and 27th. (KF)
