Rain, Snow At Most Places Of J&K From March 12: MeT

SRINAGAR, March 05 (KF): The Meteorological Department (MeT) on Tuesday forecast light to moderate rain and snowfall in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir from March 12.

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “Dry weather conditions are expected to prevail in Jammu and Kashmir till March 10. However, there is possibility of light rain and snowfall at scattered places during night of March 6-7 afternoon.”

He said, “Most places in Jammu and Kashmir are expected to receive light to moderate rain and snowfall from March 12-14.”

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded minus 2.0°C, Qazigund minus 1.2°C, Kupwara minus 2.3°C, Gulmarg minus 9.5°C, Pahalgam minus 4.0°C and Kokernag minus 1.7°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 6.8°C, Katra 6.0°C, Bhaderwah 1.1°C, Batote 2.6°C and Banihal 0.6°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 8.2°C and Kargil minus 18.8°C as the Minimum temperature. (KF)
