No significant Weather Activity Expected in J&K till February 26th Evening

Srinagar, Feb 22 (KF):  The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather update for Jammu and Kashmir, stating that there is no significant weather activity expected in the region till February 26th evening.

However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain or snow at scattered to fairly widespread places on February 27th and 28th.

There is also a chance of light rain or snow at isolated places on February 29th.

From March 1st to 3rd, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain or snow at scattered to fairly widespread places.

The advisory also warns of the possibility of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at a few places in view of the heavy to very heavy snowfall over some middle and higher reaches.

Travellers and tourists are advised to follow the advisories issued by the administration and traffic police.

The general public in hilly areas is advised not to venture into avalanche-prone areas and slopy areas. They are also advised to follow avalanche warnings and advisories. (KF)
