Remain cautious against fraudsters using fake WhatsApp DPs of govt officers, dignitaries: IGP to Public

Inspector general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Wednesday cautioned people against fraudsters using fake WhatsApp display pictures to impersonate as government officers or dignitaries.

Kashmir zone police while quoting IGP on its official Twitter handle advised people to remain cautious and follow precautionary measures to deal with fraudsters.

He said that fraudsters were using fake WhatsApp display picture to impersonate as high profile government officer or dignitaries.

“General public is advised to remain cautious and follow precautionary measures to deal with fraudsters using fake WhatsApp display picture to impersonate as high profile Government officers or dignitaries,” police tweeted. (KF)
