Police Arrests MC President Magam For Providing Illegal Building Permission

Srinagar, Aug 17 (KF): Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a municipal committee president for providing an illegal building permission in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources told KDC that on acting upon a complaint Municipal committee president Magam, Ghulam Mustfah Mir son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir, a resident of Yagipora Magam was arrested on Tuesday evening for providing an illegal building permission from the municipal office of Magam.

Mir has been booked under FIR No. 120/2022 under sections of 420, 466, 467, and 471 of Indian Penal Code, he said.

A police officer also confirmed the arrest of Municipal committee president Magam to KDC and said, further investigation of the case is going on. (KF)
