DDC Anantnag inaugrates ponds under Mission Amrit Sarovar at Qulam Chinar & Badasgam

Anantnag, Aug 13 (KF): As part of the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, District Development Commissioner, Dr Piyush Singla today inaugrated two (2) ponds at Dooru Shahbad subdivion. DDC Member, Dooru Shahbad, ACD Anantnag, BDO Shahabad and other PRIs were also present on the occasion.

These ponds, one at Qulam Chinar and another at Badasgam in Block Shahbad under Mission Amrit Sarovar for preserving the natural water bodies were renovated by RDD’s Block Office Shahbad, Dooru.

At Qulam Chinar, DDC while addressing the gathering, said our collective efforts shall be channeled towards devoting ourselves for the service of the nation.

The DC while discussing the importance of Mission Amrit Sarovar for the preservation of natural water resources including ponds said that district administration is keen to preserve and renovate all the existing and depleted water resources in the district.

At the inauguration function of renovated pond at Badasgam, he interacted with locals and thanked them for celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav and Har Ghar Tiranga wholeheartedly with patriotic fervour.

On the occasion, students presented National Anthem.
