Annual Convocation of Darul-uloom Sopore Tomorrow, Globally renowned scholars expected to attend

Baramulla, Aug 24 (KF): Annual convocation of one of the Kashmir’s oldest Islamic seminary, Darul Uloom Sopore is going to take place tomorrow where some world famous Islamic scholars are expected to attend the gathering.

Globally reputed and renowned scholar, Principal Darul Uloom Deoband, President Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, Maulana Syed Arshid Madni will be chief guest for the event, where more than 185 students, who have completed their degrees in Islamic Jurisprudence, Quran and Hadith, will be facilitated.

The convocation will take place tomorrow at Mahrajpora, Sopore after 10 am onwards under the supervision one of the Kashmir’s most reputed Islamic scholar, Maulana Bashir-ud-Din Qasmi, who is the rector of Darul Uloom Sopore.

People of Sopore while hailing role of this Islamic Seminary said that this seminary has already produced thousands of Islamic Scholars and has played a vital role in reformation of society in Sopore. They also hailed the role of Mufti Muzzafar Hussain Qasmi, who is teacher at this seminary.

“The hard-work of teachers of Darul Uloom Sopore is giving fruits and it’s Mufti Bashir Sahab and Mufti Muzzafar Sahab, who deserve all credits. They have been restlessly working for reformation of society here. Sopore had fallen into evil traps but now, we see our future bright. Thanks to Darul Ulooms here, especially Darul Uloom Sopore,” said a Sopore resident.

The convocation will also be attended by Maulana Ghulam Qadir, patron Jamia Islamia Zia-ul-Islam, Poonch, Mufti Ateeq-ur-Rehman Bastavi, Chief Justice All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Mufti Hifzul Rehman from Gujrat. (KF)
