ADC Kulgam inaugurates District Rural Haat under NRLM

The Additional Development Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather today inaugurated District Rural Haat under NRLM at Devsar.

The programme was launched under the theme UMEED “Saksham Nari ki Pehchan”.

In this Rural Haat, Self Help Groups of National Rural Livelihood Mission Kulgam shall display their products for sale.

The products displayed include crewel work curtains, crewel bags, walnuts, paper machie items, knitting items, crochet items, tilla work suits and pherans, mufflers, tilla staals etc.

The ADC inspected these stalls and also interacted with SHG members. He appreciated the efforts of women associated with Umeed.

Block Program Manager NRLM Devsar, Mubeshirah Qayoom informed the officials about the progress of NRLM’s Umeed and their linkage to the markets through online platforms like Flipkart, Meesho etc.

The event was also attended by Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Block Development Officer Devsar, Tehsildar Headquarter, BPM and other officers of district. (KF)
