2 dead, 7 injured as vehicle plunges into gorge in Ramban

Ramban, July 24 (KF): At least two persons died, while seven others were injured after after a vehicle rolled down into a gorge in Ramsoo area of Ramban district on Sunday afternoon, officials said here.

An official told that a Scorpio rolled down into a gorge near Badrkot area of Ramsoo, resulting in on spot death to two and injuries to seven others.

He said that the vehicle with Chandigarh registration number was carrying marriage party when the accident took place.

The official said that soon after the incident police and locals reached to the spot for rescue operation, while two bodies were recovered and injured were evacuated to a nearby hospital.

He added that injured persons were undergoing treatment at Ramban hospital, while police have taken cognisance of the matter. (KNO)
