MeT Issues Weather Forecast for J&K until Feb 13

Srinagar, Feb 03 (KF):  The Meteorological Department Srinagar on Saturday morning issued weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir untill February 13.

As per forecast, on 3rd February, there’s a chance of light to moderate snow or rain in many places towards the late afternoon or evening.

On 4th February, light to moderate snow or rain is expected in most places, with heavy snowfall possible in isolated higher reaches of South Kashmir and adjoining areas.

The middle and higher reaches of North, Northwestern, and Central parts may receive 7-10 inches of snow, while the lower reaches and plains may receive 3-6 inches.

The plains of Jammu Division may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning.

On 5th February, there’s a possibility of light snow over isolated higher reaches.

From 6th to 13th February, generally dry weather is expected.

Travelers are advised to plan accordingly and follow administration/traffic police advisories due to inclement weather from 3rd evening to 4th evening, they said. (KF)
