MeT Forecasts Light To Moderate Rain, Snow At Many Places Of J&K For Next 24 Hour

An official of the Meteorological Department (MeT) said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with possibility of light rain and snowfall at many places with thunder, lightning and gusty winds over plains of Kashmir and Jammu Division divisions till March, 22 forenoon and the weather will improvement thereafter.”

He said, “With brief cloudiness, the weather is expected to remain generally dry in Jammu and Kashmir from March 23-26.”

He said, “The weather is expected to remain generally cloudy with light rain and snowfall at few places of Jammu and Kashmir from March 24-27 while intermittent light rain and snowfall is expected at many places from March 28-31.”

Meanwhile, the the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 9.9°C, Qazigund 6.8°C, Kupwara 7.3°C, Kokernag 8.2°C, Gulmarg 3.2°C and Pahalgam 3.0°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Thursday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 18.4°C, Katra 16.1°C, Batote 11.6°C, Bhaderwah 5.0°C and Banihal 9.0°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded minus 1.9°C and Kargil minus 4.2°C as the Minimum temperature. (KIMS)
