J&K parts likely to receive Rains today, says MeT

Srinagar, July 31: Meteorological Centre Srinagar Wednesday predicted light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places of Jammu and Kashmir today.

The officials said that on July 31st there is a possibility of spell of light to moderate rain & thundershower at many places of Kashmir division, and widespread places of Jammu division.

From August 1st to 5th will will be generally cloudy with spells of intermittent light to moderate rain & thundershower at many of Kashmir division, and most places of Jammu division, the officials said.

They also said a spell of rain & thundershower at scattered places of J&K is expected on from August 6th to 7th, while as from August 8th to 10th a spell of rain & thundershower at isolated placed of Jammu and Kashmir divisions is expected.

They added that intense showers for brief period with possibility of flashfloods, cloudbursts, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones over vulnerable places of Jammu and Kashmir, and heavy rainfall at few places of Jammu division is also expected.

Notably J&K has been gripped under intense heat wave from last few weeks, causing disruptions to normal life across.
