J&K likely to receive intermittent rain spells till Aug 3, says MeT

Srinagar, July 24: Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Wednesday predicted brief spell of rains and thundershowers in parts of Jammu and Kashmir till August 3.

It however maintained that hot and humid weather conditions will prevail over Kashmir division till July 26.

From July 24th to 26th there is a possibility of brief spell of rain & thundershower at isolated places of Kashmir division, and light to moderate rain & thundershower at many places of Jammu division, the official said.

He said from July 27th to 31st spells of intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places may occur.

The official said from August 1st to 3rd intermittent light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places of J&K may take place.

The official in an advisory said that intense showers for brief period with possibility of landslides, mudslides and shooting stones over few vulnerable places of Jammu division may occur.

He added that hot and humid weather conditions will prevail over Kashmir division till July 26.
