Srinagar, March 31 (KF): The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) will face traffic disruptions starting early next week due to urgent repairs and upgrades on the airstrip stretch near Bijbehara, Anantnag.
Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) and load carriers will be barred from traveling on the highway in both directions from 4:00 am on April 1, 2024 (Monday) to 7:00 am on April 2, 2024 (Tuesday).
Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) will be diverted onto the old National Highway alignment between Alstop and Doonipora, traveling via Alstop, Wanpoh, Khanabal, Batengoo, Padshahibagh, Bijbehara, and Doonipora.
Truck drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid the closure on the Jammu-Srinagar NHW during the designated time period. (KF)
