J&K Traffic Police issues traffic advisory for Amarnath Yatra 2024

Srinagar, June 27 (KF): The Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2024. The advisory outlines the cut-off timings for yatris (pilgrims) traveling between Jammu and the Kashmir Valley.

The advisory states that there are separate cut-off timings for yatris traveling in convoys and those traveling outside of convoys. Yatris traveling in convoys must depart from Jammu by 4:00 AM for the Baltal cave and 4:30 AM for the Pahalgam cave. Yatris traveling outside of convoys are not permitted to travel on certain roads after specific times.

The advisory also states that yatris traveling from Jammu to Pahalgam must cross the Navyug Tunnel by 3:00 PM and Mir Bazar by 4:00 PM. Yatris traveling from Pantha Chowk to Manigam must cross Peak Crossing, Lassjan by 3:00 PM and Shadipora/Sumbal by 3:30 PM. Yatris traveling from Manigam Transit Camp to Baltal must depart by 5:00 PM.
