Generally Dry Weather With Afternoon Thundershower Activity Expected In Parts Of J&K From May 1: MeT

Srinagar, April 30: Following heavy rainfall in the plains and light snowfall in higher reaches over the past 24 hours, the Meteorological Department (MeT) on Tuesday predicted generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir from May 1-5.

According to an official from the Meteorological Department (MeT), “Today, generally cloudy weather with light rain and thunder is expected in many places of Jammu and Kashmir.”

“Expect mostly dry weather with occasional afternoon/evening thundershowers at few places in Jammu and Kashmir from May 1-5,” he said.

He said, “Anticipate light rain accompanied by thunder in scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir from May 6-7.”

Meanwhile, the Summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar recorded 3.0°C, Qazigund 3.8°C, Kupwara 3.6°C, Kokernag 2.6°C, Pahalgam 0.7°C, and Gulmarg minus 1.5°C as the Minimum temperature in Kashmir region on Tuesday.

The Winter capital, Jammu recorded 12.9°C, Katra 10.0°C, Batote 6.5°C, Bhaderwah 5.6°C, and Banihal 5.2°C as the Minimum temperature in Jammu region.

In Ladakh region, Leh recorded 3.5°C and Kargil 4.1°C as the Minimum temperature.
