Fresh Snowfall Likely in J&K as Moderate Western Disturbance Approaches

Srinagar, Jan 01 (KF): The Metrological Department (MeT) Kashmir predicted Fresh Snowfall and Rain Predicted in J&K as Moderate Western Disturbance is set to Approach from January onwards.

Forecast:

January 1-2 (Feeble Western Disturbance): Light snowfall is expected at scattered locations from the evening of January 1 to the forenoon of January 2.

January 4-6 (Moderate Western Disturbance): Widespread light to moderate rain in Jammu plains and snowfall in most areas is predicted. Conditions are likely to improve by the afternoon of January 6.

January 7-10: Weather is expected to remain mainly dry.

Advisory:

With fresh snowfall, sub-zero temperatures, and icy road conditions in plains and higher reaches, tourists and travelers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to administrative advisories.

Heavy snowfall is likely at some higher-altitude areas during the night of January 4 to the morning of January 6.
