Anantnag, Feb 28 (KF): Power supply in Anantnag district, including Nipora, Damjan and adjoining areas, was restored within five hours after heavy snowfall caused disruptions.
The snowfall led to faults in transmission lines, affecting several areas. However, the Power Development Department (PDD) acted quickly, and teams worked in harsh conditions to restore electricity.
An official of the Power Development Department (PDD) Qazigund station, confirmed to Kashmir First that “there was a technical snag, which took almost five hours to fix,” he said.
Residents appreciated the prompt response, while officials credited the quick restoration to the dedication of the field staff.
