Srinagar, Nov 11: MLA from Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq, announced today that the Omar Abdullah-led government will soon regularize the services of daily wagers, contractual, and casual employees in Jammu Kashmir.
Speaking about the recent age relaxation granted for the Competitive Combined Examination (CCE), Sadiq described it as the fourth significant decision made by the current government.
He emphasized that addressing the concerns of the people, particularly the youth, remains a priority.
“For the past decade, there have been no recruitment drives in Jammu Kashmir, leaving our educated youth without opportunities to participate in exams. With the age bar relaxation, more young people can now apply for government jobs. I extend my congratulations to Omar Abdullah for making this decision, and to the youth who will benefit from it,” Sadiq was quoted as saying by Srinagar based Greater Kashmir.
He further assured that the government would address all pending issues step by step.
“We are committed to fulfilling every promise made to the people, whether it’s restoring statehood, providing 200 units of free electricity, or increasing the ration quota. All these matters will be resolved in due course,” he added.
Sadiq also addressed the issue of regularizing the employment of daily wagers and contractual workers.
“This is a key part of our manifesto, and we want to ensure a dignified process for their regularization. Though it will take some time, the government is determined to resolve these issues systematically. Our demand for statehood is essential to ensure that such decisions are made smoothly without unnecessary hurdles,” he explained.
