Kishtwar, Aug 11: A brief exchange of fire occurred between militants and security forces near the Paddar Batam bridge in the Kishtwar district of Jammu, officials said.
They told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the incident took place earlier today, prompting security forces to launch a search operation in the area.
According to the J&K Police, the situation is under control, and efforts are ongoing to locate suspected militants in the area. No casualties have been reported so far.
