Body of missing youth retrieved from river Jhelum in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 25 (KF): The Body of man who was missing for the last 20 days has been retrieved from river Jhelum in the Safa Kadal area of Srinagar this morning.

“An unidentified semi-decomposed body was retrieved from river Jhelum in Safa Kadal area this morning, officials said.

They said police took the body into their custody following which he was identified as Basharat Ahmad Bhat son of late Ali Mohd Bhat resident of Naid Kadal Srinagar who was missing from last twenty days.

Police have taken cognizance and further investigation in this regard has been taken up, they said. (KF)
