AIP Supremo Er. Rashid Seeks Regular Bail, Hearing on August 28

Srinagar, Aug 21: The Member of Parliament from Baramulla and Awami Ittehad Supremo, Er. Rashid has applied for regular bail at Delhi’s Patiala House Court.

According to Srinagar based news gathering agency KDC, the court has asked the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to respond by August 28, 2024.

Meanwhile, supporters from his party, Awami Itehad Party, are hopeful that he will be released on parole and lead their campaign in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Rashid, who defeated Omar Abdullah to win the Baramulla seat, is currently in Tihar jail over an alleged militant funding case.
