Srinagar, April 18: Jammu and Kashmir is set to experience another spell of wet weather as an active Western Disturbance (WD) is likely to affect the region starting this afternoon, with its impact expected to last until April 20.
According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely across the Union Territory from late afternoon or evening today, with the peak intensity of the system forecasted for April 19.
Officials said that some areas may witness heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and hailstorms, which could disrupt normal life. The higher reaches of Kashmir, particularly on April 19, are expected to receive light to moderate snowfall, adding to the weather woes.
