Srinagar, March 04: After an extended winter break due to heavy snowfall, schools across the Kashmir division have finally reopened today.
Students from classes up to 8th standard enjoyed a winter vacation since November 28 last year, while classes 9th to 12th began their break from December 11.
Despite the delay, both government and private schools are enthusiastic about resuming regular classes and continuing the education of their students.
Quoting reports news agency Kashmir Scroll said that students across all districts in Kashmir were observed heading towards their respective educational institutions, expressing great joy and excitement to commence their first day after winter vacations.
“I am delighted that we are back to school. It was tedious to stay at home for such a prolonged period,” stated Saika Jan, a student from a private school said.
Sehrish, another student, expressed her happiness upon reuniting with her friends.
“After a gap of three months, I have returned to school. I have missed my teachers and friends. I feel immensely joyful to finally meet them after such a long duration,” she exclaimed.
